Biodata

Adjunct Associate Professor Poi is a Senior Consultant with the Department of Palliative Medicine at Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH). She received accreditation as a specialist in General Medicine in 2010 and Palliative Medicine in 2012. In March 2014, she was awarded a Health Manpower Development Programme (HMDP) fellowship to learn about the integration of palliative care in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New York. Since 2015, she has been leading her department's efforts to integrate palliative care within the Intensive Care Units (ICUs), providing dedicated care for critically ill patients at the end of life.

Adj A/Prof Poi co-leads undergraduate palliative medicine teaching at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. Additionally, she is a Core Clinical Faculty Member of the National Healthcare Group (NHG) Internal Medicine Residency Programme and serves as the Associate Programme Director of Palliative Medicine Residency Programme.
