Biodata
Dr Penelope Maxine Wong Poh Kay is a Senior Consultant at the Department of Renal Medicine in Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH) with a sub-speciality interest in peritoneal dialysis. She graduated from the Royal Free and University College Medical School, London and is a member of the Royal College of Physicians, United Kingdom.
She is currently clinical lead of the Peritoneal Dialysis Home Support Program at Tan Tock Seng Hospital, a national pilot study aiming to improve patient outcomes through structured home support. She is currently a member of the Ministry of Health, Singapore End-Stage Renal Disease Clinical Service Strategy Implementation Taskforce sub-workgroup and was previously sub-group lead for a Ministry of Health value stream mapping initiative to improve peritoneal dialysis care through the designing and updating of peritoneal dialysis education materials.
Dr Wong is a Clinical Senior Lecturer at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore, as well as a Content Expert and Clinical Teacher with the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, Nanyang Technological University. She has published work on managing peritoneal dialysis patients during the COVID-19 pandemic and has presented at multiple local nephrology scientific meetings.
