Asst Prof Neo Han Yee is the incumbent Head of the Department and Senior Consultant in the Department of Palliative Medicine at Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH). He obtained his specialist board accreditation for Geriatrics Medicine in 2012 and subsequently pursued a second specialization in Palliative Medicine.
Asst Prof Neo was awarded a Health Manpower Development Plan to further his interest in Clinical Ethics in Hawaii in 2013. Upon his return, he joined the TTSH Clinical Ethics Committee, where he now serves as its Chairperson.
He is an Assistant Professor (Asst Prof) with Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (LKCMedicine), where he teaches Clinical Ethics and Palliative Medicine modules. In addition to his interest in clinical ethics, Asst Prof Neo has a research interest in the domain of palliative care for chronic dyspnea, prognostication in advanced lung diseases, palliative rehabilitation, as well as palliative healthcare service integration. He currently leads several cross-disciplinary programs across the domain of cardiopulmonary failure, critical care, as well as traditional chinese medicine integration.
Asst Prof Neo is also committed to enhance post graduate specialist training in palliative care and serves as the incumbent Chairperson of the Programme Evaluation Committee for the National Palliative Medicine Residency Programme. In addition, he is passionate in expanding palliative care capacity in the region through educational collaboration. For his contribution, he was accorded Visiting Professorship at the prestigious Peking Union Medical College Hospital (PUMCH) in China.
