Biodata
Dr Lynn Thwin is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon with a special interest in joint replacement and lower limb injuries and trauma. He holds an MBBS degree and completed his postgraduate training in orthopaedic surgery with MRCS, MMed (Ortho), and FRCS (Edin) qualifications.
Fluent in English, Chinese, and Burmese, Dr Thwin is dedicated to providing culturally sensitive, evidence-based, and patient-centered orthopaedic care. He has a strong focus on Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) protocols, aiming to improve post-operative recovery, reduce complications, and optimize patient outcomes in hip and knee replacement surgery.
Academic & Research Interests
Dr Thwin has published peer-reviewed papers in the fields of joint arthroplasty and geriatric lower limb fractures. He has presented his research at local, regional, and international orthopaedic conferences.
In 2025, Dr Thwin was awarded Singapore’s Young Ambassador to the Asia Pacific Orthopaedic Association (APOA). He represented Singapore at the 24th APOA Congress in Cairns, Australia, engaging in international knowledge exchange, professional networking, and local hospital visits.
