Dr Loh Seet Yoong is a Senior Consultant Cardiologist at Tan Tock Seng Hospital, Singapore. He specialises in the comprehensive management of cardiovascular diseases, with particular expertise in heart failure and in the performance and interpretation of echocardiography (ultrasound imaging of the heart).
Dr Loh obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2003. He was admitted as a Member of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP, United Kingdom) in 2010 and was accredited as a Cardiologist in 2013. In 2016, he was awarded the Ministry of Health Human Manpower Development Programme (HMDP) Scholarship, under which he completed a clinical fellowship in Advanced Heart Failure Management and Cardiac Transplantation at The Alfred Hospital, Melbourne, Australia.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr Loh is deeply committed to medical education. He serves as a Clinical Tutor with both the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore (NUS), and the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, Nanyang Technological University. He has previously held appointments as a Clinical Core Faculty Member in the National Healthcare Group's Cardiology Senior Residency Programme and has served as an Examiner for the final-year medical examinations at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine.
Dr Loh is also actively involved in clinical research and has served as Principal Investigator or Co-investigator in multiple pivotal international trials that have shaped contemporary cardiology practice, including the PARADIGM-HF, IMPROVE-IT, VICTORIA, VICTOR, and EMPA-Preserved studies. He has co-authored several peer-reviewed research publications in recognised scientific journals.
