Biodata

A/Prof Lim Wee-Shiong is a Senior Consultant at the Department of Geriatric Medicine, Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH), and Director of the Institute of Geriatrics and Active Ageing. He holds academic appointments as Associate Professor at the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, Nanyang Technological University, and Adjunct Associate Professor at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore.

A/Prof Lim provides comprehensive geriatric assessment and management for older adults with complex medical and functional needs. A member of the Cognition and Memory Disorders Service at the Department of Geriatric Medicine, his core areas of practice span dementia and cognitive disorders, and geriatric syndromes. He believes in delivering holistic, compassionate, and evidence-based care that empowers older persons to age with dignity, resilience, and purpose.

A/Prof Lim obtained his medical degree from the National University of Singapore and completed specialist training in Geriatric Medicine at TTSH. As Lead Scientist at the Geriatric Education and Research Institute, Fellow of the American Geriatrics Society and Associate Fellow of the Association for Medical Education in Europe, he has published extensively and received awards for research, teaching, and clinical excellence. His research spans dementia and cognitive disorders, frailty & intrinsic capacity, sarcopenia & muscle health, and evidence-based medicine in older adults.
