Bone Mineral Density Scan
- Standard for measuring bone strength or density
- To diagnose osteoporosis (porous bone) where loss of bone tissue causes bones to be brittle and more likely to break

Computed Tomography (CT) Scan
- Uses X-rays and computer technology to produce cross-sectional images of the body. A dye may be injected to increase the distinction between various organs or areas of the body
