Biodata

Prof Kwek is Senior Consultant in the Department of Anaesthesiology, Intensive Care and Pain Medicine and Assistant Chairman, Medical Board (Special Projects) at Tan Tock Seng Hospital. He is the Vice-Dean (Clinical Affairs) and Professor at the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, NTU and Associate Professor at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS.

He is also an advisor and Senior Consultant to the Ministry of Health on matters related to the National Deceased Donor Programme in Singapore. He is a regular Examiner for the local Master of Medicine (Anaesthesiology) examinations and External Examiner for the Primary Examination of the Hong Kong College of Anaesthesiologists.

Prof Kwek obtained his medical degrees from the National University of Singapore in 1988 and his Master of Medicine (Anaesthesiology) in 1995. He then completed his fellowship in Critical Care Medicine at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, USA in 1999. His clinical interests include neuroanaesthesia, neurocritical care, general intensive care and deceased organ donation.
