Biodata

Dr Tan Wee Kian Kenny currently works as a Consultant in the Department of Cardiology, Tan Tock Seng Hospital. He subspecialises in the management of cardiac arrhythmias and is trained to provide services such as cardiac rhythm device implantation, conduction system pacing, cardiac electrophysiology and ablation of abnormal heart rhythms.

He graduated with Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore in 2010 and attained his Masters in Medicine (MMED) in 2015 from Graduate Medical School, National University of Singapore. He obtained his Membership of Royal Colleges of Physicians in Internal Medicine (MRCP) (Int Med) of United Kingdom in 2014. He was accredited as a Cardiologist by the Specialists Accreditation Board, Ministry of Health Singapore in 2019. He was then awarded the Human Manpower Development Programme Award in 2023 to pursue his subspecialty fellowship training in Advanced Cardiac Pacing, Electrophysiology and Ablation at Westmead Hospital, a busy quaternary referral and academic centre in Sydney, Australia.

Other than his clinical work, he is also involved in undergraduate and postgraduate medical training as a clinical tutor at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore and Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, Nanyang Technological University of Singapore. He is also a Core Clinical Faculty Member of the National Healthcare Group Cardiology Senior Residency Programme. He has contributed many publications in peer-reviewed literature in the areas of cardiovascular health and cardiac pacing.

He believes in a patient-centred care philosophy and emphasises the importance of building patient-physician trust and relationship in all aspects of medical management.
