Biodata
Dr Irfan is a Consultant in the Department of Pathology, Tan Tock Seng Hospital, Singapore. He graduated from Armed Forces Medical College (India) in 2012 and underwent Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) certification. He did his post graduate Residency and Senior Residency Training in Anatomical Pathology at the National University Health System, Singapore. He is a Fellow of both the Royal College of Pathologists of UK and Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia. In addition, he has also completed Certificate of Higher Cervical Cytopathology Training (CHCCT), conducted by the Royal college of Pathologists (UK).
He has been a staff pathologist in the department since 2021. His subspeciality areas are in Thoracic and Molecular Pathology. He has completed one year Thoracic and related Molecular Pathology Fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (New York, USA) under the HMDP program. He is also a member of the Association for Molecular Pathology (AMP).
He also keeps up to date with latest evidence-based medicine practices and has contributed to this through multiple international peer-reviewed scientific journal publications. He has also presented at both local and overseas workshops/conferences.
Dr Irfan is passionate about teaching and participates in the postgraduate residency training program as Core Clinical Faculty Member.
