Biodata

Dr Irene Hii is a Consultant in the Department of Palliative Medicine, providing care in both inpatient and outpatient settings. She has a special interest in integrative medicine and its role in improving comfort, dignity, and quality of life for patients with advanced illness.

Trained originally as a Family Medicine physician, Dr Hii also holds graduate diplomas in Geriatric Medicine and Occupational Medicine. Her broad clinical background supports her work with patients who have complex needs and enables close collaboration with families and the multidisciplinary team.

Her practice focuses on holistic care and symptom management, including pain, breathlessness, and other distressing symptoms. She believes in supporting patients and families with compassion, respect, and clear communication, offering what she describes as a “soft landing” during the most challenging stages of illness.

Dr Hii remains committed to advancing integrative and person-centred approaches within palliative care, ensuring each patient receives thoughtful and individualised support.
