Dr Hong Qiantai graduated from National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2010. Upon graduation, he began General Surgery Residency training as the inaugural batch of the NHG Health (NHG) Residency Programme.  During his training, he also served as the President of the NHG Residents' Council between 2016 to 2017.  

Dr Hong received his Master of Medicine (Surgery) from his alma mater. He has been accredited as a specialist by the Ministry of Health, Singapore since 2018, having passed the Joint Specialty Fellowship Examinations in General Surgery and exited as a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.Dr Hong enjoys the dynamic nature of clinical practice as well as working as a team.

His subspecialty interest lies in Vascular and Endovascular Surgery. He is a keen educator, serving as clinical faculty and examiner to both the NUS School of Medicine and the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine. He is also currently the Associate Programme Director for the NHG General Surgery Residency Programme.
