Biodata
Dr Evelyn Lee graduated from Cambridge University, U.K. in 1989. She became a Consultant Cardiologist in 1999, and worked from 1999 to 2009 as General Cardiologist and Lead Cardiologist at West Suffolk District General Hospital, and Consultant Echocardiologist at the regional Cardiology tertiary referral centre, Papworth Hospital. She had a special interest in transoesophageal echo (TOE), particularly intraprocedural TOE guidance (e.g. ASD/PFO device closure), and training of Cardiology trainees in TOE.
She returned to Singapore in 2009 and since then, has served as Senior Consultant and Echocardiologist at Tan Tock Seng Hospital. Aside from clinical practice, Dr Evelyn Lee remains committed to teaching and training in echocardiography, both in teaching of cardiology trainees, and mentoring of new echocardiology consultants. She has also served as Head of Service for the Non-Invasive Cardiac Lab at Tan Tock Seng Hospital.
Her main publications in peer-reviewed journals and textbooks have been in the fields of aortic and mitral valve disease, and ASD and PFO device closure.
