Dr Chan Wai Lim William is a Emeritus Consultant in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at Tan Tock Seng Hospital. He also serves as Clinical Senior Lecturer at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore, and holds the position of Clinical Core Faculty Member in NHG Rehabilitation Medicine Senior Residency Programme.

Dr Chan's practice encompasses comprehensive rehabilitation medicine services, with expertise in managing patients with complex disabilities and functional impairments. His clinical work focuses on restoring optimal function and improving quality of life for individuals across various rehabilitation needs. He contributes significantly to medical education through his involvement in training the next generation of rehabilitation medicine specialists.

Dr Chan obtained his medical degree (MBBS) from the University of New South Wales, Australia, in 1982. He achieved Fellowship of the Australasian College of Rehabilitation Medicine (FACRM) in 1989, followed by Fellowship of the Australasian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine, Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FAFRM RACP) in 1993. He was conferred Fellowship of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore (FAMS) in 2005. His distinguished service has been recognised through the TTSH Emeritus Consultant Conferment in 2019 and the Lee Foundation-NHG Life-time Achievement Award in 2022. Dr Chan actively contributes to healthcare governance through his membership in various professional committees, including the Singapore Medical Council's Complaints Panel and Disciplinary Tribunal.
