Biodata

Dr Bharat Vashdev Khialani is a Consultant Cardiologist in the Department of Cardiology at Tan Tock Seng Hospital, specialising in Interventional Cardiology. His clinical interests include complex coronary intervention, intravascular imaging, coronary physiology, and drug-coated balloon therapy, with a strong focus on precision, technique optimisation and evidence-based practice.

Dr Khialani obtained his medical degree in Australia and completed his Cardiology specialist training in Melbourne at The Alfred Hospital and Monash Heart. He subsequently pursued advanced fellowship training in interventional cardiology at Royal Papworth Hospital in Cambridge, one of the UK's leading centres for complex and high-risk PCI.

He is actively involved in cardiovascular research, with recent publications covering stent failure mechanisms, lesion preparation strategies and innovation in drug-coated balloon technology. He also serves as Principal Investigator for multiple clinical studies evaluating device performance and interventional techniques.

In addition to his clinical and research roles, Dr Khialani is committed to education and mentorship. He teaches in national Cardiology training programmes, contributes as faculty to numerous local and regional interventional cardiology conferences, and is involved in undergraduate medical education across both the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine.
