Biodata
Dr Michelle Sim is an Family Physician, Associate Consultant at NHG Kallang Polyclinic. She graduated with an MBBS from the National University of Singapore in 2016 and subsequently completed her postgraduate training, obtaining the Master of Medicine in Family Medicine MMed(FM) in 2020. She is accredited by the Family Physicians Accreditation Board as a fully recognised Family Physician.
Passionate about education and mentorship, Dr Sim currently serves as a Core Faculty Member of the NHG Polyclinics Family Medicine Residency Programme and as Clinical Faculty with both the National University of Singapore and Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine. She also contributes actively to postgraduate medical education, having previously served as a scriptwriter for the MMed(FM) Mock Examinations and currently as an examiner for the MMed(FM) Preparatory Course (EPOCH) and NHG Polyclinics own preparatory programme.
Over the course of her career, Dr Sim has held several key leadership positions. Notably, she served as Chief Resident in the National University Health System Family Medicine Residency Programme and participated in the NUHS Residency Leadership Development Programme. She currently leads a Teamlet in her clinic, where she plays an active role in advancing care through team-based initiatives and audit projects involving both her Teamlet and family medicine residents.
In recognition of her contributions to public healthcare, Dr Sim has received several accolades, including the NHG Polyclinics Best Trainer Award (2024), OurCare Quality Improvement Project Merit Award (2024), NHG Polyclinics Team Recognition Award – Silver for Project EMBRACE (2023), the NHG Polyclinics Long Service Award (2023), and the COVID-19 Resilience Medal (2023).
