Biodata
Dr Chie Zhi Ying is a Consultant Family Physician at NHG Polyclinics and Deputy Head of NHG Woodlands Polyclinic. She graduated from NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine with an MBBS in 2013. She subsequently completed postgraduate training in Family Medicine and is accredited by the Family Physicians Accreditation Board (FPAB) as a Family Physician.
She obtained her Graduate Diploma in Family Medicine (GDFM) in 2016, Master of Medicine in Family Medicine [MMED (FM)] in 2020 and the Fellow of the College of Family Physicians Singapore (FCFPS) in 2024.
She also attained the Master of Public Health (MPH), with specialisation in Occupational Health, from NUS in 2019 and was the winner of the Occupational and Environment Health Society (OEHS) Medal, NUS. She is also a Fellow of the Royal Society for Public Health (FRSPH), UK since 2023.
She has a special interest in dermatology and is the second deputy in-charge for the Dermatology/Haematology/Emergency Medicine Specialty Advisory Group (SAG) at NHG Polyclinics. She is a member of the Expert Group (EG) tasked by Agency for Care Effectiveness (ACE) to advise on the development of ACE Clinical Guidance (ACG) for optimising skin and soft tissue infections in primary care. She is also a member of the NHG Polyclinics Medication Management & Usage Committee (MMUC).
Passionate about education and mentorship, she currently serves as tutor for the College of Family Physicians where she teaches candidates taking the GDFM exams and is also a clinical tutor at the NTU Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine.
In recognition of her contributions to public healthcare, Dr Chie has been awarded The Commendation Medal (COVID-19) and the COVID-19 Resilience Medal (CRM) in 2023. She was also awarded the NHG Young Achiever Award in 2023 and NHG Quality Day Excellence in Action Award (EIAA) in 2022.
