Biodata
Dr Chew Bao Li is a Family Physician, Associate Consultant who provides comprehensive primary care at NHG Ang Mo Kio Polyclinic. She completed her MBBS at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore in 2013. After her housemanship, she has had an unconventional and diverse professional journey which enriched her clinical perspective with experience in Radiology and private general practice before eventually finding her calling in public service.
Dr Chew attained her Graduate Diploma in Family Medicine (GDFM) in 2019, followed by the Master of Medicine in Family Medicine (MMED FM) in 2022. She has also further enhanced her expertise with a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Dermatology (Distinction) from the Queen Mary University of London in 2020. Dr Chew's areas of clinical interest include dermatology, minor surgical procedures, travel and altitude medicine. She also has a special interest in the care of Persons with Disabilities (PwDs).
Dr Chew serves as a member of several key committees in NHG Polyclinics, including the Paediatrics Specialty Advisory Group and the Medication Management & Usage Committee. She is also a member of the College of Family Physicians, Singapore. Since Oct 2024, she serves as Deputy Head of NHG Ang Mo Kio Polyclinic, balancing both clinical practice and healthcare leadership.
Dr Chew is passionate about medical education and plays an active role in nurturing future family physicians. She currently serves as a clinical supervisor for medical officers and is a faculty tutor for the MMED FM (College Programme). She is also a member of the NHG Polyclinics GDFM Mock Exam Committee. Additionally, she is a tutor for undergraduate medical students from both the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine and Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore.
