Dr Chen Tongyuan is a Family Physician, Associate Consultant at NHG Yishun Polyclinic. Dr Chen graduated from National University of Singapore with a MBBS in 2013. He subsequently completed postgraduate residency training in Family Medicine in 2021, and Fellowship in Family Medicine in 2024. He has a special interest in minor procedures, striving to enhance patient care in this field.

A recognised expert in Family Medicine, Dr Chen is a Fellow of the College of Family Physicians, Singapore. Passionate about education and mentorship, he currently serves as Clinical Teacher at NTU Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine and NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. Additionally, he contributes to medical education and is actively involved in shaping the training as a member of the NHG Family Medicine Residency Programme. He was also awarded iCare Champion (Gold) in 2023 for good patient care.

Throughout his career, Dr Chen has taken on key leadership roles, including serving as the Assistant Director in Family Medicine Development.
