Dr Vivek is a dedicated Family Physician and Consultant at NHG Woodlands Polyclinic. With a strong background in medical education, Dr Vivek serves as a clinical lecturer and tutor for various institutions, including Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, and the College of Family Physicians, Singapore. He holds an MMED (Masters in Family Medicine) after completing his residency program and underwent further training to complete his Fellowship (FCFP).

Dr Vivek plays a key role in residency training program as APD, overseeing resident competency and progression. Additionally, he contributes to medical education as an examiner for post graduate exams as well. His leadership extends to neurology, where he has held positions as 2I/C and I/C for Neurology SAG.

Dr Vivek has received numerous accolades, including the NHG Polyclinics QI Champion Award, NHG teaching award, Residency training award, College tutor award and NUS Dean’s Award for teaching excellence. He also actively participates in research initiatives, attending various courses to refine his skills and recently completed a 2-year CSPP research program at LKC under the NHG-LKC CSPP research grant.

Dr Vivek conducts peer reviews for journals and also teaches EBM to post graduate Drs. His commitment to advancing family medicine is evident through his leadership in program evaluation and faculty development. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated a strong passion for improving patient care and medical education.
