Biodata

Dr Rajni Gupta is a Family Physician, Associate Consultant at NHG Ang Mo Kio Polyclinic. She graduated from University of Delhi, India with an MBBS degree in the year 2000. She began her journey in Singapore first in 2005 as a Medical Officer in the Ministry of Health, which provided her with an insight into Singapore’s medical system. Subsequently she joined as Resident Physician in NHG Ang Mo Kio Polyclinic in the year 2012.

To further enhance her expertise, she was awarded a scholarship by NHG Polyclinics which allowed her to complete her Diploma and postgraduate training in Family Medicine from National University of Singapore in the year 2015 and 2018 respectively.

Her keen interest is in chronic disease management. She leads a multidisciplinary team which delivers evidence-based patient-centric care to her patients suffering from broad range of acute and chronic medical conditions with emphasis on preventive aspects of diseases. She is also well versed with minor procedures done at the polyclinic.

Beyond clinical practice, Dr Gupta is a passionate educator and mentor. She serves as a clinical tutor at Lee Kong Chain School of Medicine and NUS’s Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and contributes actively to train future medical professionals in effective communication and safe & effective practice. She is actively involved in teaching and guiding Family Medicine residents taking Graduate Diploma in Family Medicine (GDFM) exams.

Recognising her contributions to public healthcare and her keen interest in the involvement of family practitioners in cancer care, she was awarded Human Manpower Development Plan Medical Award in the year 2023. Under this award, she trained at the Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre, University of Melbourne, Australia. This study allowed her to gain practical skills in managing cancer survivors in primary care.
