Dr Teh Tiong is a seasoned Family Physician and Principal Staff member at NHG Hougang Polyclinic with over 20 years of experience in primary care. He graduated from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 1999 with qualifications in LRCP & SI, MB, BCh, and BAO. He later attained postgraduate diplomas from the National University of Singapore in Family Medicine (2013) and Family Practice Dermatology (2017).

Dr Teh’s clinical interests include minor surgical procedures, medical IT integration and clinical improvement. He has served as the Minor Procedure Champion from November 2005 to January 2009 and continues be active as one of a handful Minor Procedure Doctors in the clinic. He has also been a member of the NHG Polyclinics Renal Special Interest Group since 2017.

Actively involved in healthcare technology, Dr Teh has served as Med-IT Representative for NHG Hougang Polyclinic since 2017. He is also a key trainer and readiness owner for the NGEMR Epic system, supporting digital transformation in clinical workflows.

In leadership, Dr Teh was Deputy Head of NHG Hougang Polyclinic from 2009 to 2015. His contributions include championing workplace wellness through initiatives like HealthBuzz and Work Health Promotion (2016–2018), facilitating CPIP training, and participating in the NHG Harm Reduction Collaborative (2020–2022).

Dr Teh is recognized for his strong commitment to patient-centered care, clinical excellence, and continuous improvement in healthcare delivery.
