Biodata

Dr Wong Khai Phang obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the National University of Singapore in 2011. He subsequently obtained his Master of Medicine (Orthopaedics) and Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons during his Residency training. He was accredited as a Specialist in Orthopaedic Surgery after obtaining entry as a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2022.

Dr Wong specialises in complex trauma surgery and is deeply motivated to help restore function and quality of life to trauma patients. He deals with a wide variety of complex fractures of the upper limb, lower limb, pelvis and acetabulum in his daily practice and is well-versed in various surgical approaches in almost any region of the body. He has a special interest in upper limb conditions and also has experience in joint replacements for shoulder and elbow fractures.

Dr Wong also strives for constant improvement in surgical techniques. He is involved in the Singapore Orthopaedic 3D printing workgroup and is pioneering the 3D printing service in Khoo Teck Puat Hospital (KTPH). He has published various research papers and has presented at local, regional and international conferences. He is actively involved in teaching residents and medical students as Faculty for the NHG Health Orthopaedic Residency Programme and as Clinical Tutor for both the National University of Singapore and the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine. As a member of the AO Trauma Society in Singapore, he has also served as Faculty in various AO courses for residents.
