Dr Vaikunthan Rajaratnam is an internationally recognised hand surgeon with over four decades of experience in clinical practice, teaching and faculty development. He holds numerous leadership roles in medical education, with a focus on instructional design and generative artificial intelligence integration in healthcare training.
Dr Rajaratnam specialises in nerve surgery, particularly in the treatment of upper and lower motor neurone injuries. His research spans hand surgery, microsurgery and the application of technology in medical education. As a UNESCO Chair Partner, he has pioneered AI-powered education frameworks, empowering healthcare professionals across borders.
A dedicated educator and mentor, Dr Rajaratnam continues to drive advancements in medical practice through innovation and collaboration.
