Dr Christabel Thng obtained her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the National University of Singapore in 2015. She was conferred the Membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in 2019. As part of her training in Psychiatry, she has worked in various hospitals and completed postings in a broad range of subspecialties including Child Psychiatry, Mood Disorders, Addictions Psychiatry and Forensic Psychiatry. She was accredited as a Specialist in Psychiatry by the Ministry of Health (MOH) in 2022.

She is also a clinical educator and is involved in teaching medical students. She strongly believes in a biopsychosocial approach towards mental illness and is an advocate for holistic management.​
