Biodata
Dr Shauntel Tan graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2014 with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). She underwent training in Internal Medicine Residency under the NHG Health (NHG) and went on to pursue her specialist training in Geriatric Medicine. She obtained her postgraduate degree from the Royal College of Physicians, United Kingdom in 2018. Additionally, she attained her Master of Internal Medicine from NUS in 2019.
Dr Tan has a special interest in falls in older adults and osteoporosis management, and is involved in the Hip Fracture Service at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital (KTPH). She manages patients with dementia and falls in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
In addition to her clinical practice, she has a keen interest in education and currently serves as a NHG Health Physician Faculty Member and Adjunct Lecturer at both the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and the Nanyang Technological University Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine.
Dr Tan is passionate about improving the quality of life for older adults through individualised treatment plans and interdisciplinary collaboration.
