Dr Shikhare completed his MBBS from Grant Medical College, Mumbai, and post-graduate Radiology training (DMRD, DNB) in India. Thereafter, with a passion for higher education and work experience, he moved to Singapore and successfully completed his Master of Medicine in Diagnostic Radiology at the National University of Singapore and Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR), UK in 2012. He further completed his Advanced Specialist Training in Diagnostic Radiology in 2015 and joined KTPH.
His work domain encompasses Body Imaging, Chest Imaging, and Cardiac Imaging. His special interest in Cardiac and Thoracic Imaging led him to pursue a one-year Health Manpower Development Plan fellowship in Cardiothoracic Imaging at the Joint Department of Medical Imaging, Toronto General Hospital, University of Toronto, Canada in 2019. He has obtained Level III certification in Cardiac MR from the Society for Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance.
