Biodata
Dr Dinna Soon is a Senior Consultant Cardiologist and the Lead for the Heart Failure Service at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital. She graduated from University College London in 2001 and is a Member of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of the United Kingdom, as well as a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore. After completing her cardiology training, Dr Soon pursued a Heart Failure Fellowship at the Heart Failure and Transplant Unit at St Vincent's Hospital, Sydney.
As the Lead of the Heart Failure Service, Dr Soon has played a pivotal role in establishing a multidisciplinary heart failure unit that offers a seamless, comprehensive care pathway. Under her leadership, the unit has driven remarkable improvements in patient outcomes, significantly reducing readmission rates while enhancing survival, functional capacity and overall quality of life.
Dr Soon is deeply committed to medical education. She was awarded the Best Teacher Award (Postgraduates) by the Residency Programme Office in 2018 and currently serves as Physician Faculty for the NHG Health Residency. She is an Adjunct Senior Lecturer at the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine and a Clinical Senior Lecturer at the National University of Singapore Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine.
In addition to her clinical and teaching roles, Dr Soon is actively involved in heart failure research, participating in both local and international trials. Her work has been published in leading medical journals, and she regularly presents her research at prominent conferences worldwide.
