Dr Sivaraj Gunasekaran is a General Surgeon, specialising in Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Surgery with a special interest in Emergency Surgery and Trauma. He is the Head of Service of the Emergency Surgery and Trauma (ESAT) unit at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital (KTPH). He also serves as a Visiting Consultant at the National University Hospital (NUH), Changi General Hospital (CGH) and Woodlands Hospital.
Dr Sivaraj is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh, UK; the American College of Surgeons; and the Academy of Medicine, Singapore. He graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) and completed his residency training in the NHG Health (NHG). He has completed fellowships in hepatopancreatobiliary surgery at the National University Hospital and ASAN Medical Center in South Korea.
Besides his clinical duties, he serves as the Deputy Chief Clinical Informatics Officer at KTPH and is an active faculty member in postgraduate surgical residency training.
