Biodata

Dr Siddharth Subramani is currently a Consultant with the NHG Eye Institute @ Khoo Teck Puat Hospital.

Dr Siddharth completed medical school at the University of Aberdeen (UK), winning the Shepherd Memorial Medal in Surgery. He completed his Ophthalmology training at the Manchester Royal Eye Hospital (UK), upon which he was awarded the Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) and admitted to the UK Specialist Register by the General Medical Council. He was also admitted as a fellow to the Royal College of Ophthalmologists (London), and the European Board of Ophthalmologists (EBO).

Dr Siddharth underwent subspecialist training in vitreoretinal surgery at the Manchester Royal Eye Hospital. Upon completion, he worked as a Consultant Ophthalmologist & Vitreoretinal Surgeon at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals (UK) for over 3 years, prior to joining the NHG Eye Institute (NHGEI) in 2022.

Dr Siddharth is active in both research, undergraduate, and postgraduate medical education, and is also an examiner for the Royal College of Ophthalmologists (UK). He is also a member of the British and Eire Association of Vitreoretinal Surgeons, and the European Society of Retinal Specialists. Dr Siddharth has previously been an instructor for cataract surgery training at the Royal College of Ophthalmologists (UK) and is an instructor for retinal surgery courses.

Dr Siddharth's area of clinical interests includes cataract surgery, vitreo-retinal surgery, floaters, macular hole repair, epi-retinal membrane removal, diabetic eye disease, age related macular degeneration, retinal laser, intra-ocular injections, and general ophthalmology.
