Dr Murukuti is trained as an Anaesthetist both in India and Singapore and has 20 years of experience as a Specialist. He holds dual accreditation as a Specialist in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care, and has a Fellowship from Ireland along with Advanced Training in Intensive Care from Singapore.

Dedicated to clinical work, he is also passionate about teaching junior doctors and nurses. He serves as a Clinical Tutor at both Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine and Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine.​
