Dr Ling Chai Yiing is a Senior Consultant and Head of Section in Rheumatology at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital (KTPH). Her subspecialty interest is in the care of patients with inflammatory arthritis, connective tissue disorders and crystal arthropathies.  

She completed her undergraduate medical education at King’s College London, University of London. Subsequently, she earned her postgraduate degrees in MSc Rheumatology and MRCP, Royal College of Physicians (UK). She completed her advance specialty training in Rheumatology in 2016 in London, United Kingdom.  

She is committed in mentoring both undergraduate and postgraduate students. She is the clinical tutor in Rheumatology for NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and adjunct senior lecturer at NTU Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine. In addition, she provides mentorship and interprofessional training for Family Medicine Physicians, Sport Medicine trainees, rheumatology nurses and pharmacists. 

She was appointed as Deputy Chief Clinical Informatics Officer (CCIO) (2022-2025) and the Patient Safety Lead in the NGEMR (Next Generation Electronic Medical Record) Steering Committee (2022- 2023). She has been involved in key clinical IT projects like critical result routing optimisation and healthcare messaging system (HMS) transition. She is currently supporting SingHealth’s Rheumatology department in the implementation of the EPIC electronic health record system.
