Biodata
Dr Benjamin Liang is a Consultant in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, specialising in trauma surgery. After graduating from the National University of Singapore, he went on to complete his Orthopaedic Surgery residency, obtaining his Membership and Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons, as well as a Master's of Medicine in Orthopaedic Surgery.
He has a keen interest in traumatology and fracture management, particularly in the fields of geriatric fracture care, pelvic and acetabular fractures, the management of polytraumatised patients, and managing fracture-related complications such as non-union and infections. He underwent further overseas training in London at St George's Hospital and The Royal London Hospital as part of Singapore's Health Manpower Development Plan award.
He also greatly enjoys medical education and is strongly involved with undergraduate teaching in both the NUS Yong Loo Lin and NTU Lee Kong Chian Schools of Medicine, having obtained the NHG Teaching Award for Senior Doctors. As an Orthopaedic Residency Programme Core Faculty, he is also deeply involved with Orthopaedic resident training, in particular having successfully organised multiple cadaveric courses for residency training.
