Dr Venkatesan Kumaresh is a Senior Consultant with more than 20 years of clinical experience in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine. After obtaining his basic medical degree and postgraduate qualification in Anaesthesia from India, he pursued and completed higher specialist training in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care from the West Midlands Training Programme in the UK.

Prior to his move to KTPH, he worked as a Consultant in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care at regional and tertiary hospitals in UK for six years. Since joining KTPH, he has been actively involved in undergraduate and residency training and education, clinical quality improvement and research activities, and various leadership roles including Director of SICU and Chairman of ICU Committee and Deputy Clinical Head of Anaesthesia department.
