Dr Koh Yiwen Claudia is a Senior Consultant in the Department of Geriatric Medicine at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital (KTPH), with over ten years of experience in geriatric care. Since joining KTPH in 2018, she has been committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care to elderly patients, specialising in acute geriatric services such as comprehensive assessments and tailored care plans that address the unique needs of older adults. Dr Koh leads the Geriatric Short Stay Unit, which focuses on improving health outcomes while minimising hospital stays.
Dr Koh is also a dedicated educator, serving as an Adjunct Lecturer at the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine and a Clinical Senior Lecturer at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. She plays a key role in training future healthcare professionals and is the Associate Programme Director for Geriatric Medicine at the NHG Health.
In 2023, Dr Koh was honoured with the NHG Health Teaching Award for Senior Doctors, reflecting her commitment to excellence in both clinical care and education. Her passion for improving elderly care extends beyond her clinical duties—she has been actively involved in initiatives aimed at enhancing geriatric healthcare, including projects that improve oral health in older patients.
