Biodata

Dr Lilleen Huang is a Senior Consultant at the Department of Otorhinolaryngology (ENT) at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital (KTPH), with subspecialty interest in the care of patients with head and neck cancers, thyroid nodules and salivary gland tumours.

Dr Huang obtained her medical degree (MBBS) from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2007, and is an alumnus of Raffles Girls' Secondary School and Raffles Junior College. She commenced basic surgical training and was awarded Membership of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow (MRCS) in 2011. She then decided to pursue ENT specialisation training, obtaining her Master of Medicine (Otorhinolaryngology) (MMed-ORL) from the National University of Singapore in 2013. She completed her ENT training in 2016, and is a fully accredited specialist by the Singapore Medical Council, and a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore (FAMS).

In 2020, she embarked on an advanced surgical fellowship training in Head and Neck Cancer Surgery, and was awarded the Fellowship in Head and Neck Oncological Surgery (Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland). Currently, in addition to general ENT surgery, she specialises in the surgical care of thyroid and salivary gland tumours, as well as management of advanced oral and Head & Neck cancers. She currently heads the Head and Neck Cancer Service within the ENT Department, and believes in quality care for all patients, working closely with the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons, Radiation Oncologists, Medical Oncologists, Radiologists, Pathologists, Dentists, Speech and Swallowing Physiotherapists as well as Dieticians, to deliver a multidisciplinary care approach. She has developed vast experience and expertise especially in the surgical care of patients with thyroid and salivary gland tumours, strict clinical standards, excellent clinical quality, and emphasises a personalised approach for every individual to obtain the best clinical outcomes.

Besides clinical care, Dr Huang also contributes to the education and training of young doctors. She holds teaching appointments in both Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, where she has been Clinical Lecturer since 2021, as well as Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, where she has been a Clinical Teacher since 2019, becoming the Teaching Lead for ENT in Khoo Teck Puat Hospital since 2021. Dedicated to teaching and training medical students, she has been awarded the Teaching Excellence Award numerous times. She is also the Associate Programme Director for the ENT Residency in NHG Health since 2022, and is a Core Faculty of the ENT Residency Programme.
