Biodata

A/Prof Chin is a public service commission scholar graduated in 1985 and completed his orthopaedic training in Royal London Hospital in 1995. He was the head of department of Orthopaedics in Alexandra Hospital from 2002 to 2010 and Khoo Teck Puat Hospital until 2012. He is a Senior Clinical Lecturer of Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and an Adjunct Associate Professor of the Lee Kong Chien School of Medicine. He was involved in the Specialist Training Committee for Orthopaedics and in it’s present form, the Residency programme. His subspecialty is hip and knee replacement surgery.

He is part of MOH health technology advisory committee for hip and knee implants and MOM medical board. He received the 30 years long service award in 2016 and the Distinguished Senior Clinician award in 2019.

He was the medical team leader for a humanitarian mission to Jogjarkarta in 2006.​
