Biodata
Dr Gabriel Cher is a Consultant Gastroenterologist and Head of Section of Gastroenterology at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital.After graduating from Imperial College School of Medicine, he completed his Internal Medicine Residency and Gastroenterology Senior Residency with NHG Health. He further undertook a fellowship in Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) at National Taiwan University Hospital, where he trained under Professor Hsiu-Po Wang.
As a member of the Endoscopy Committee and the Operating Theatre Committee, he is closely involved with projects to improve clinical quality. Dr Cher is also passionate about medical education and serves as Associate Program Director of the NHG Health Gastroenterology Senior Residency program. He was awarded the Teaching Excellence Award in 2022, and holds faculty appointments as Adjunct Clinical Lecturer at the NTU Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, and Clinical Senior Lecturer at the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine.
