Dr Angela Chan is a Consultant at the Department of General Medicine, Rheumatology division. She graduated from the National University of Singapore, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and obtained her Master of Medicine degree (Internal Medicine) from the National University of Singapore and Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (United Kingdom). She completed her Internal Medicine Residency, served as Chief Resident, and completed her senior residency in Rheumatology at NHG Health.
She was awarded the Health Manpower Development Plan in 2022 and completed her fellowship training in Geriatric Rheumatology in Perth, Western Australia. Following this training, she established a Geriatric-Rheumatology outpatient clinic. She is a member of the Khoo Teck Puat Hospital Pharmacy and Therapeutics committee, and the Department Data Protection Lead. She became a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore, served on the Young Members’ Committee of the College of Physicians and currently serves as a board member in the Chapter of Rheumatologists, College of Physicians, Academy of Medicine. She is also a committee member in the Singapore Society of Rheumatology.
In addition to her clinical work, she is also involved in medical research and medical education. She serves as a Clinical Senior Lecturer with the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, Clinical Course Lead for Year 3 OSCEs with the NTU Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine and NHG Health Resident Physician Faculty.
