Dr Wei Ying is an Associate Consultant with the Department of Gastroenterology & Hepatology, Tan Tock Seng Hospital, Singapore. She graduated with distinction from Peking University where she earned her medical degree (MD, Peking University Health Science Centre, China, 2014), and subsequently attained Membership of the Royal College of Physicians, United Kingdom (MRCP UK) in 2019 and the European Speciality Examination in Gastroenterology and Hepatology (ESEGH) in 2024. She obtained specialist accreditation in Gastroenterology after completing her training in the NHG Health Gastroenterology Residency Programme, where she also served as Chief Resident in her final year of training.

Her clinical practice spans a wide spectrum of digestive and liver conditions, with particular interest in hepatology, portal hypertension and the supportive care of patients with advanced liver disease. She is especially dedicated to improving the comfort and quality of life for patients living with end-stage liver disease. Beyond her clinical work, Dr Wei is actively involved in research and medical education, serving as clinical tutor and clinical teacher at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine respectively.
