Dr Llewelyn Tan is an Associate Consultant of Rehabilitation Medicine at Tan Tock Seng Hospital. He specialises in helping patients recover from various medical conditions and injuries through comprehensive rehabilitation programmes. His core areas of expertise encompass general rehabilitation medicine with particular focus on restoring function and improving quality of life for patients with diverse rehabilitation needs.
Dr Tan's clinical practice centres on general rehabilitation with special interests in musculoskeletal rehabilitation and spasticity management. He provides comprehensive care for patients requiring rehabilitation following injury, illness, or surgery, with expertise in addressing complex movement disorders and muscle-related conditions. His approach encompasses both acute and chronic rehabilitation needs across various patient populations.
Dr Tan completed his undergraduate medical training at the University of Aberdeen School of Medicine and Dentistry in 2016, followed by his MRCP (UK) in 2021 and Master of Medicine (Internal Medicine) in 2022. He completed specialist training in Rehabilitation Medicine in 2025 and became a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore. His academic contributions include clinical educator roles at both NTU Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine and NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. Dr Tan has received multiple awards including the NHG MVP Award and Outstanding Resident Award in 2025 and has published research in rehabilitation medicine journals.
Dr Tan believes that every patient undergoing rehabilitation has the potential to make progress, regardless of the severity of their injury.
