We invite you to opt between the medical or peri-operative domains with exposure to a broad spectrum of clinical disciplines, to begin your career as a HC.

All HCs will have to complete a 6-month General Medicine rotation. At the end of the 2-year HC training, all HCs will have to take a diploma exam (Graduate Diploma in Hospital Practice) administered by the Academy of Medicine, Singapore.

To qualify for the HC scheme, you must:

1. Be one of the following:
   • A Singaporean, Singapore Permanent Resident, or local-trained foreign doctor with at least 2 years of full-time experience as a Medical Officer (MO) or equivalent in Singapore; OR
   • A foreign-trained doctor with at least 5 years of practice as an MO in the MOPEX pool and currently employed by MOH Holdings.
2. Have a letter of recommendation from a supervisor or senior clinician endorsing your suitability for the scheme.
