Clinical Training and Learning in NHG Health
During their time with us, our learners will:
- - Acquire strong foundations in clinical skills and knowledge that would prepare them to be competent healthcare professionals when they graduate. They gain wide clinical exposure from the diversity of our institutions and its facilities; interaction with our large patient population; and mentorship of our experienced clinical educators.
- - Learn how to collaborate in an inter-professional environment, because we believe that fostering collaborative, multidisciplinary, inter-professional teams is key to ensuring quality patient care. Learners have the opportunity to learn, train and grow together with fellow learners and healthcare professionals from different disciplines.
- - Realise their potential and aspirations, through the guidance of our nurturing clinical educators who support them in identifying and addressing their learning needs, and provide them with ample learning opportunities.
Dynamic Training Curriculum
We are constantly fine-tuning our training curriculum and methods to better cater to our learners, and to remain relevant in the ever-evolving healthcare landscape. We gather feedback from our students at the end of their clinical postings/placements, to review, refine and improve our curriculum, and in alignment with the learning outcomes as desired by their schools.
Strong Support Structure
Recognising that learners may feel overwhelmed in a new, unfamiliar and complex setting during their clinical postings/placements, we have formal orientation programmes that would ease our learners into the clinical learning and training environment. Learners also receive appropriate support such as training and education resources, access to our diverse facilities, and nurturing educators that would further enrich their clinical learning experience.
