About

Dr Harold Yim is a Consultant in the Department of Diagnostic Radiology at Tan Tock Seng Hospital, with over a decade of clinical experience, and having a subspecialisation in breast imaging and intervention. His core areas of practice are mammography, breast ultrasound and image-guided breast procedures, alongside general diagnostic radiology.

His practice serves both screening and symptomatic patients, with his clinical work centring on the interpretation of mammograms and breast ultrasound studies, including contrast-enhanced mammography. He is an accredited reader with the BreastScreen Singapore programme, regularly reading national screening mammograms and assessing recalled patients. He performs a range of image-guided breast interventions, including biopsies, drainage procedures and pre-operative localisations. He is an active member of the hospital's multidisciplinary breast service, participating in breast radiology-pathology rounds and contributing to quality assurance. His special interests include wireless breast localisation techniques, the role of artificial intelligence in radiology, and imaging support for breast cancer clinical trials.

Dr Yim graduated in Medicine from University College Dublin in 2013, having earlier completed a Master of Clinical Anatomy and a Bachelor of Medical Sciences at Western University in Canada. He obtained the Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR, United Kingdom) and the Master of Medicine in Diagnostic Radiology (National University of Singapore) in 2019, before completing his radiology residency at Tan Tock Seng Hospital in 2021.

Dr Yim is committed to patient comfort during interventional procedures, diagnostic accuracy in his reports, and clear communication of results with both patients and referring clinicians.
