Dr Than Naing Tun is a Senior Consultant in the Department of Diagnostic Radiology at Tan Tock Seng Hospital. He obtained his MBBS (Mandalay, Myanmar) in 1986 which was followed by Specialist Certifications  (MMed Diagnostic Radiology, Singapore) in 2009 and 2011 (FRCR).  He has been enrolled as a fully registered medical practitioner since Nov 2013 (Singapore Medical Council).

Dr Than’s core interest lies primarily in body imaging, handling high volume advanced scans of the gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary and genitourinary systems regularly.  He actively contributes towards patient care at multidisciplinary gastrointestinal, oncology and lung tumour boards.

Dr Than has been a clinical lecturer in YLLSOM since 2014 and is a faculty member of the NHG residency programme since 2020. He supervises and tutors radiology residents during their work-based learning.  He has published several papers and posters in local as well as international conferences.  He believes in integrating knowledge with diagnostic reasoning to optimize patient-centred care and management.
