About

Dr Tee Shang-Ian is a Senior Consultant Dermatologist at the National Skin Centre (NSC), Singapore, and serves as Head of Subspecialty Division II. He is also the Consultant-in-Charge of the Urticaria Clinic and Deputy of the Dermatopathology Unit, with active involvement in the Lymphoma Clinic.

His clinical work spans several areas, including chronic urticaria, dermatopathology, and cutaneous lymphomas. He manages patients with persistent urticaria that often requires careful evaluation and long-term treatment strategies. In dermatopathology, he contributes to the interpretation of skin biopsies, supporting accurate diagnosis through clinicopathological correlation, particularly in more complex or atypical cases.

Dr Tee also plays a key role in coordinating subspecialty services under Division II, working closely with different units to support service development and maintain clinical standards. His leadership role involves both clinical oversight and collaboration across subspecialties.

In addition to his clinical and leadership responsibilities, Dr Tee is actively involved in teaching and mentoring. He is a regular speaker at regional meetings, where he shares practical insights from his work across multiple dermatological subspecialties.

His work reflects a balanced contribution across clinical care, diagnostics, and service leadership. He has also received awards and recognitions for his contributions to dermatology practice and education such as NSC Excellence in Teaching Award 2011 and NSC Service Gold Award 2017, 2018.
