About

Adjunct A/Prof Pan Jiun Yit is a Senior Consultant Dermatologist at the National Skin Centre (NSC), Singapore, and serves as Head of Subspecialty Division I. He is also the Chief of the Cutaneous Infection Unit and Deputy Chief of the Psoriasis Unit. He completed his HMDP fellowship on skin infections, photodermatology and psoriasis at the St John's Institute of Dermatology, King's College Hospital, and the London School of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene.

His clinical work spans a wide range of dermatological conditions, with a particular focus on infectious and inflammatory skin diseases. He manages patients with bacterial, viral, and fungal infections, as well as chronic conditions such as psoriasis, often requiring careful clinical judgement and follow-up. His approach is practical and structured, with an emphasis on accurate diagnosis and effective long-term management.

In his leadership role, A/Prof Pan oversees the development and coordination of multiple subspecialty services within Division I. He works closely with colleagues across units to ensure consistent standards of care and to support the growth of subspecialty expertise within the department.

He is also actively involved in teaching and training, contributing to the development of undergraduate and postgraduate doctors. He is the Undergraduate Education Director for Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, overseeing the Year 5 Dermatology Posting in NSC, Year 3 Dermatology in Internal Medicine program, and yearly DSS Book Prize/VS Rajan Gold Medal exam.

A regular speaker at regional meetings, he shares insights from his clinical and leadership experience in dermatology.

His work reflects a strong commitment to clinical care, service development, and education. He has also received awards and recognitions for his contributions to dermatology practice and training, including the YLLSOM Dean's Award for Teaching in 2015, NHG Team Recognition Awards in 2019 and 2022, Service Quality Award (Star) in 2022, and both the NHG Excellence in Action award and the NHG Teaching Award for Senior Clinicians in 2023.
