Dr Jesse Ong is currently a Consultant in the Department of Cardiology. He completed his specialist training at the National University Heart Centre, Singapore in 2018. Subsequently, he did his Advanced Cardiac Imaging Fellowship in Cardiovascular MRI and Cardiac PET at Barts Heart Centre (St. Bartholomew Hospital), London in 2022 under the HMDP Scholarship by Ministry of Health. In addition, he is a diplomate in Nuclear Cardiology (CBNC, USA) and Cardiac CT (CBCCT, USA). His specialty interests lie in non-invasive cardiac imaging modalities, namely Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance (CMR), Cardiac Computed Tomography (CCT), Single-Photon Emission Computed Tomography (SPECT) and Positron Emission Tomography (PET) imaging.
Currently, he serves as the Head of Service for the Nuclear Cardiology Laboratory and Member of the Woodlands Hospital's Pharmacy and Therapeutics (P&T) Committee. He is also a clinical Lecturer and Content Expert with the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine (NUS) and Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (NTU) respectively.
Dr Ong speaks English, Malay and Mandarin.
