Dr Iyer is an associate consultant with the Department of Cardiology. He graduated with an MBBS (Honours Class I) from the University of Sydney, Australia in 2012. He completed his specialist training at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Sydney, Australia, obtaining Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (Australia) in 2018. He subsequently completed a fellowship training program in Cardiac Imaging (Cardiac MRI and Cardiac Computed Tomography) at National Heart Centre, Singapore in 2020. He has previously worked as a Staff Specialist Cardiologist at St George Hospital, Sydney, Australia (2022-2023).
Dr Iyer is currently undertaking a PhD at the Faculty of Medicine and Health, University of Sydney, Australia. His thesis assesses the application of novel Cardiac MRI sequences in heart failure. Dr Iyer's research has been published in peer-reviewed journals and has been presented at international conferences.
Dr Iyer's specialty interests lie in non-invasive cardiac imaging modalities, namely Echocardiography, Cardiac MRI and Cardiac CT.
