Dr Chung Kwai-Kuen Irene graduated from Glasgow University, UK, obtaining her MBChB with an intercalated degree in Immunology in 1997. She has been a Member of the Royal College of Physicians, UK since 2001.
Dr Chung obtained her cardiology training in one of the largest cardiac tertiary centres in the UK, Glenfield Hospital, where she performed catheter ablation, cardiac device implantation (including defibrillators and CRT devices). She received her Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in 2011.
Dr Chung has extensive experience in clinical research and was conferred her MD in 2007 on heart failure and platelets. She has presented her research at many national and international meetings and has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals. She has been a reviewer of international journals. Dr Chung has also been part of the faculty of numerous international conferences and courses.
